Concept Design
This project pitches an alternate animated adaptation of ‘The Last Unicorn’ by Peter S. Beagle, in which a unicorn leaves her known world and undertakes a transformative journey. Transposing the unicorn’s narrative from its fairytale setting into a sci-fi world, this adaptation uses surrealism to explore identity, hybridity, and ecological issues. The animated teaser trailer presents this world and the use of animation for liminal zones of transformation.
