Puppets are fascinating tools of meaningful storytelling that draw in the audience through empathy and imagination. Applying theories about how puppets are perceived as living characters and the tactile experience of haptic visuality, this project demonstrates the artistic value of handmade characters. These handcrafted elements enhance the narrative and viewing experience of live-action fantasy films. My puppets are stylised but with a sense of realism to enhance their believability for audiences.
