‘Re-defining the Resistance' is inspired by the Women’s Suffrage Movement of the 1800s. This collection analyses power dressing and how I could re-define the way we view it. Suffragettes took power into their own hands and fought for what they believed was right. I hope to show how we as society view women’s bodies, but also women in power. I aimed to over-exaggerate but add a modernised twist to timeless garments.
