This collection explores the relationship between authoritarianism and self-expression, by looking at LGBTQ+ experiences in Socialist East Germany during the 70's and 80's. Elements of traditional East German tailoring have been deconstructed and then queered through form and silhouette, to capture persevering spirit of queer and alternative self-expression.
