Safelight is an experimental drama exploring healing and queer resistance, with a core cast of non-binary and trans actors. Working in the photographic darkroom, Illume must reconcile with their shadows while healing from trauma. Moments of their life are recollected as vignettes. Safelight works to envision options for change, understanding that in order to heal personally and societally we need options for what this change could look like.
Funny Business, a family-friendly comedy, follows Aroha the clown as she chooses between financially unstable clowning with Lou or a 9 to 5 like her girlfriend, Mimi. Through a corporate team bonding clown workshop, Funny Business is about being a young creative trying to make a living, about friendship among women and queer joy, and doing the things we love in life throughout the changes we face.
