Driven by the ideas that surround urbanisation and cultural identity, I navigate the space between two cultural worlds using minimalism and formalism to explore what it means to be Pākehā and Māori. Using contemporary materials and a minimal colour palette, I question the interconnection we have to ourselves and our whakapapa. This methodology enables me to explore the complexities of my cultural identity, and the duality inherent in my experiences.
