My practice is an inquiry into the dichotomies of Rigidity/Ambiguity, Rationale/Desire, and Ritual/Routine. These current paintings explore division as the precursor of order and repetition as the marker of habit.
Painted on stretched bed-linens, these works extend from lived routines, interpreting the grid as it is used in a calendar or schedule. By stretching and painting into domestic fabrics, these works explore the ways in which tacit linearity can be experienced ambiguously.
