My artistic practice engages with the intrinsic connections we have with others, the land, and our ancestors. As I explore notions of interconnectedness and growth through both abstract and figurative forms, I create narratives that speak to Te Ao Māori and my whakapapa. My graduate work motu makes tangible an urban relationship with whenua, acknowledging the innovation and growth Māori face when displaced in environments that may not nurture such.
