She combines her lifelong love of painting with self-taught embroidery & beading techniques to bring her creatures to life. Her subjects are shiny and attractive, but not just performing for the gaze of the audience; they hold an undeniable authority of their own, demanding space and attention as they confront preconceived notions of femininity and the abject.
