This bikepacking aerobar bag was inspired by the form of a swallow. Warou are swift, aerodynamic and resilient. In this project, I aimed to analyse and improve an Aotearoa bikepacker’s setup. I recognised that handlebar bags were the least developed bag type. This was designed towards functionality and optimal user experience, while still situating the design within Aotearoa through organic local forms and repurposed sailcloth materials.
