Master of Design

Growing up not seeing Indian culture represented in New Zealand media and society, Digital-Rangoli is the result of Abhi Topiwala's Master of Design research. Utilising digital drawing and experimental animation, he offers a space to pause and reflect on identity and belonging. The inquiry stems from seeing his mother draw at the doorway of his family home in Waitakere, Tämaki Makaurau during Diwali in his youth.
