Lust for warmth, Shallow attempts' explores themes of addiction and the cycle of shame. Using contact mics, I amplified different frequencies to create harmony while boiling jugs. The result was an airy, ambient drone soundscape, which I performed live with actor Thom Honeybone in The Engine Room. The aim was to evoke feelings of vulnerability, decay, and heaviness, as a man attempts to fill up a bath to warm himself.
