Capturing the inviting entrance to Kilbirnie Park, this hero image reflects my vision for a welcoming space for youth at the redesigned recreation centre.
A vibrant youth-centered space with skateboarding areas, interactive wooden structures, and open green fields, fostering community engagement and active play in Kilbirnie Park
A welcoming sitting space with shaded seating and wooden pods, designed for people of all ages to relax, connect, and enjoy a calming atmosphere.
My redesigned Kilbirnie Recreation Centre—a bright, playful space where families and youth are drawn to gather, explore, and spark new friendships.

Spatial Design
Playful Connections' reimagines Kilbirnie Park recreational zone as a vibrant, engaging space dedicated to youth engagement and community connection. Through an adaptive reuse approach, it aims to rejuvenate Kilbirnie Park, transforming it into a multi-functional community hub/sports library. By emphasising values of independence, play, personal interests, and communal connections, this design is informed by the broad, unique needs and desires of young people.
