‘Hub of Connections’ explores how the currently unused Karori Event Centre can be designed to increase intergenerational connections and strengthen community relationships. By focusing on elderly and vulnerable residents, the space facilitates different events, creating moments to interact and relax with others. Exploring sensorial qualities through materiality and colour ensures the space not only functions efficiently, but also allows all community members to equally enjoy and benefit from the space.
