‘Playful Reading’ is a conceptual exploration into how a book communicates with its reader. The book creates an immersive and enjoyable reading experience by subverting expectations of a typical book format to enhance the narrative being told. It showcases ways that the same playful design principles that are used in children’s books can be applied in a more complex format to suit a more comprehensive audience of readers.
