The Waipunahāu Storytelling Trail is an 11km long walking trail along the Northern edge of Lake Horowhenua. The trail features five installation sites which tell the story of the pollution of Lake Horowhenua and its impact on the Ngāti Pareraukawa and Muaūpoko people through a series of illustrations and infographics. The Waipunahāu Storytelling Trail aims to encourage participants to learn and use kaitiakitanga to become more environmentally sustainable.
