Visual Communication Design
A typeface inspired by the Sri Lankan culture and heritage, style-focused around Ceylon cinnamon.
The Ceylon typeface project, inspired by the structure of Ceylon cinnamon, blends Sri Lankan cultural heritage with a modern Western design aesthetic. It reflects the delicate yet strong qualities of cinnamon through contrasting strokes in a Humanistic Sans-Serif form. The project involved extensive research, design iterations, and material testing. Future plans include refining Ceylon for body text and adapting it for the Sinhala script, bridging tradition and contemporary design.
