Consent is often considered a sensitive topic, frequently overlooked or introduced too late in Aotearoa's school curriculum. We need more resources that facilitate these essential discussions at every stage of learning. Hu Hu Loves to Hug is a picture book designed to introduce consent and personal boundaries to young children (4-6 yrs) in a simple, engaging, and approachable way.
